Summary: In Ben 10: Protector of Earth, players take on the role of Cartoon Network's everyday-kid-turned-superhero, Ben Tennyson. Nintendo DS version doesn't have the Giant Vilgax Destroyer boss. In the Nintendo DS version, the cheats are different. PS2, PSP and the Wii versions doesn't have Upchuck while in the Nintendo DS version he can be unlocked with a cheat code. Unlike the other versions of the game Nintendo DS Version is a 2.5D Beat' em up. Atomic Power (Collecting an Atomic Power will double the damage of your attacks for a short peroid of time). Green DNAde (Fills up the Omnitrix Bar, can be collected by smashing stuff). Red DNAde (Fills up your Health Bar, can be collected by smashing stuff). Omnitrix Crystals (Unlocks new aliens but are automatically collected throughout the cutscenes). You can also collect Omnitrix Points by defeating enemies) Omnitrix Points (Fills up the Yellow Bar to unlock new moves if you have enough Omnitrix Points. Ben and his family stops evil and restores all of the DNA Omnitrix has after Ben defeats Vilgax. Ben fights a Giant Robot and absorbs the Omnitrix Crystal which unlocks XLR8. The game also has a co-op mode meaning you can play with w players.Ī Drone begins to absorb DNA from the Omnitrix while Ben is sleeping when Ben wakes up he notices something is wrong. Aside from Beat' em up, the game also has a little bit of platforming and puzzle solving. The Master Control can be unlocked early with Cheat Codes. There is also a feature called the Master Control that you can unlock as you progress which makes the Omnitrix never time out unless you make the Omnitrix time out. Omnitrix also can time out but the Omnitrix will time out quickly if you use strong special moves often. There are also bosses in this game and some of them require you to revert back to Ben to use a quick time event which defeats the boss but if you don't use the quick time event, you will not be able to defeat the boss until you use the quick time event. 
This game also don't have a lives system so losing won't get you a game over.
If the enemies manage to defeat you as an alien, you will revert back to Ben isntead of losing but if enemies defeat you as Ben, you will lose. You can aslo transform into aliens but at the start, you only have Four Arms and Heatblast but you get more aliens as you collect the Omnitrix Crystals. You can collect yellow energies to fill up the yellow bar. The gameplay is a 3D beat'em up style gameplay where you have only a few basic moves at the start but you can unlock new moves as your yellow bar fills up.
